BYD has announced significant upgrades to its Fang Cheng Bao (FCB) Ti3 and Ti7 electric crossovers, headlined by the integration of its new-generation Blade Battery with megawatt-level flash charging capabilities. These vehicles, soon to be rebranded as the BYD Ti3 and BYD Ti7 for global markets, represent a leap forward in charging speed and overall EV performance. The launch of the second-generation Blade Battery on March 5th marks a turning point, with eleven models set to adopt the tech.

The core benefit of BYD’s latest battery tech isn’t just speed; it’s also enhanced cold-weather performance. This addresses a major limitation of existing EV batteries, improving usability in regions with harsh winters. The updated FCB Ti3 retains its robust design language, offering a blend of practicality and aggressive styling. Its dimensions (4605/1900/1720 mm with a 2,745 mm wheelbase) position it as a compact crossover with ample space. The vehicle comes in six colors and two interior finishes. The Ti3’s standout feature is its 75.6 kWh LFP battery, providing up to 620 km of CLTC range in the RWD version. More impressively, BYD claims a 400 km range boost in just five minutes using their dedicated flash-charging stations. Live tests showed a full charge (10–97%) in under nine minutes. Optional features include a panoramic sunroof, advanced DiSus-C suspension, and the DiPilot 300 assisted driving system, powered by a Robosense LiDAR sensor.

Fang Cheng Bao Ti7: The Premium SUV with Lightning Speed ⚡️

The larger FCB Ti7 is an SUV with a five-seat layout and dimensions of 4999/1995/1865 mm. The RWD variant packs a 300 kW (402 hp) electric motor and offers a range of 755 km. Like the Ti3, it can achieve a 10–97% charge in under ten minutes. The 4WD version steps up the performance, delivering a peak output of 515 kW (691 hp) and a top speed of 240 km/h. Inside, the Ti7 boasts a spacious 970-liter trunk and a premium Devialet sound system. The vehicle also comes equipped with the DiPilot 300 assisted driving system.
