Jeep is introducing special “Rockslide” editions of its popular Wrangler and Gladiator models as part of a broader marketing push to revitalize sales. The company, facing declining numbers, is releasing updated variants and limited-edition trims to generate renewed customer interest.
New Design Elements
The Rockslide package will be available on Sahara and Rubicon trims of the Wrangler, and Rubicon and Mojave versions of the Gladiator. Key exterior upgrades include an Anvil hardtop, matching grille surround, and distinctive Blue Agave side stripes featuring mountain graphics. The design extends to hood decals and a retro “4 Wheel Drive” graphic on the rear. Notably, the package adds steel rock rails to the Sahara trim for the first time since 2017.
Interior Highlights: A Nod to Jeep’s Heritage
The most striking feature of the Rockslide editions is the interior. Jeep is incorporating “Jean Blue” cloth seats, a clear reference to the iconic Levi’s-branded Jeep editions from years past. The theme continues with an Indigo Blue dashboard, center console lid, and armrests, accented by silver contrast stitching. This interior design aims to blend rugged functionality with a touch of Jeep’s storied history.
Availability and Pricing
Jeep will begin taking orders for the Rockslide editions in April. The package is priced at $695, added to the cost of comparably equipped models with a body-color hardtop. This release demonstrates Jeep’s strategy of offering visually distinct trims to attract buyers in a competitive market.
The Rockslide editions are a calculated move by Jeep to capitalize on its brand heritage while injecting new excitement into its model lineup. By combining rugged upgrades with a nostalgic design, Jeep hopes to reignite consumer demand and stabilize sales figures.
