KGM Actyon Hybrid: New Coupe SUV Priced from $48,000

KGM (formerly SsangYong) is expanding its hybrid offerings in Australia with the release of the 2027 Actyon Hybrid, a sleeker, coupe-inspired alternative to the standard Actyon crossover SUV. The new model aims to provide buyers with a more efficient and powerful option within KGM’s growing electrified lineup.

Hybrid Powertrain and Pricing

The Actyon Hybrid is launching with a limited-time price reduction of $2,000 off the usual drive-away cost. This brings the entry-level K50 variant to $48,000, while the higher-spec K60 costs $51,000 drive-away.

For comparison, the petrol-powered Actyon K50 is currently priced at $45,000, and the K60 at $48,000. The hybrid powertrain carries a $3,000 premium over the conventional engine. This price difference reflects the increased performance and fuel efficiency of the hybrid system.

Performance and Fuel Economy

The Actyon Hybrid delivers 150kW of power, a substantial increase over the 125kW found in the petrol model. Fuel economy improves from 7.6L/100km to 5.5L/100km, with emissions reduced from 174g/km to 127g/km. These figures position the Actyon Hybrid as a more environmentally friendly and economical choice compared to its petrol counterpart.

Standard Features and Variants

Both K50 and K60 hybrid models come standard with a comprehensive suite of features, including:

  • 20-inch alloy wheels
  • 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
  • Heated and ventilated front seats, with heated rear outboard seats
  • Leather upholstery and a heated steering wheel
  • Advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) such as adaptive cruise control, AEB, blind-spot monitoring, and lane-keep assist

The K60 adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and rear door sun blinds.

Safety and Warranty

The KGM Actyon has not yet been tested by ANCAP. However, it includes standard safety features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and driver attention warning.

KGM backs the Actyon Hybrid with a seven-year, unlimited-kilometer vehicle warranty, a seven-year/150,000km battery warranty, and five years of roadside assistance. Service pricing has not yet been announced.

Exterior Colors

The interior of all Actyon Hybrids is black. The exterior color options include Grand White as standard, with Space Black, Iron Metal, Dandy Blue, Latte Greige, and Forest Green available for an additional $700. Forest Green and Dandy Blue are new additions to the Actyon range.

Conclusion: The KGM Actyon Hybrid provides a compelling option for buyers seeking a stylish, fuel-efficient SUV with a competitive price point. The hybrid powertrain delivers increased power and reduced emissions while maintaining a generous feature set and warranty coverage.
