The 2027 Volvo EX60 isn’t just another EV. It is a software-defined vehicle.
Meaning the brain of the car does a lot of heavy lifting. A new computer network runs the show. There is also an 800-volt architecture.
Why does that matter? Charging happens faster. Much faster. Plus the infotainment system has been swapped out for something newer.
Looks and Launch
It looks sharp.
Almost like a wagon if you squint at certain angles. The design is chiseled. Clean lines. It will hit US roads this summer. Two versions.
- The P6. Rear-wheel drive. 369 horsepower.
- The P10. All-wheel drive. 503 horsepower.
Range varies. Depending on which wheels you pick and which trim you choose. Expect somewhere between 295 and 322 miles. Speed? You can do 0-60 in about four to five seconds.
Is it the quickest thing on the market? Probably not.
Is it boring? Also no.
Interior Space and Feel
It is slightly longer than the gas-guzzling XC60. Just a bit. Inside the footprint feels similar. Two rows. Not cramped.
But let us talk about the drive.
It is refined. Not exciting. Refined. The cabin is quiet. The ride strikes a sophisticated balance. You will not be launching it like a missile unless you really mean it with the P10.
One odd detail. The door handles.
They are hidden inside small winglets along the beltline. Electric release.
Design meets tech, but not always intuitively.
Will everyone love that?
Probably not everyone.
But the car is coming. This summer.
