The days are numbered for the gas-only Lexus ES. You can now only buy this sedan as a hybrid or fully electric. No more V6.
It’s called the ES350h. It pushes out 244 horsepower. Decent, but not loud.
It runs on Toyota’s sixth-generation hybrid tech. That’s the newest kit in the drawer. Reliable, efficient, boringly effective.
Look at this color. It’s named Wavelength. A fresh shade for the lineup. Or at least that’s what they want you to think.
So how do you spot the difference between the two? The nose does the talking.
The hybrid wears a slot-shaped vent under the Lexus logo. Clean, narrow, deliberate.
The electric version? No slot. It’s closed off. Just look there and you know.
